This generation of Legends came in a variety of flavors, and varieties, one of the most important differences, the engine.

 


 

 

-Engines
+Two engines were offered during this generation of Legends, better known as the TypeI, and TypeII engines.
+The TypeI engine consisted of a V6 24Valve with 200HP @ 5,500rpm and 210 lb-ft @ 4,500rpm of torque. This engine was often paired with either a 4-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual.
+The TypeII engine consisted of a V6 24Valve with 230HP @ 6200rpm and 206 lb-ft @ 5,000rpm of torque. This engine was often paired with either a 4-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual.
+You'll find the TypeI engine on the 1991-1995 Legend Sedans (except for the GS sedan edition, read further on) and the 1991-1992 Legend Coupes.
+You'll find the TypeII engine (with optional 6-speed manual) on the 1993-1995 Legend Coupes, and on the 1994-1995 "GS" edition Sedan.

Quick Fact: The best way to see what Type Engine a Legend has is in on the actual Legend engine. TypeII Legends, will specifcally say "TypeII" right on them. Another way to tell is by looking at the speedometer, TypeII Legend speedometers go up to 160MPH, while TypeI list up to 140MPH.



-1991 - 1995 Legend Coupe

-1991 - 1995 Legend Sedan

The Legend Sedan, drive it to your kid's baseball game, or drive it with your sweetheart to a night out on the town. Either way, you'll enjoy the ride there, and get plenty of looks to go with it.

-1994 - 1995 Legend GS Sedan
+The GS Sedan is often described as a coupe, but with four doors. Basically, this edition of the Sedan contained the more powerful TypeII engine, previously only found on the Coupes, the optional 6-speed transmision, and sportier suspension. The GS Sedan is also the only Legend Sedan which came with Honda's Traction Control System. What do you get? Looks, Power, Ride, Comfort and Fun. The GS Sedan was designed for those who wanted the sportier's coupes power, but with the aesthetic stylings of the Sedan.

Quick Fact: The GS Sedans all have the 160MPH speedometer due to it's TypeII engine, they have front grilles painted the same as the car's body color. They should come with 16" Acura rims often called "GS" rims, verses the standard 15" Acura rims.
